What is the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

hydrated skin after profhilo treatment

The first of its kind, the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a extended stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, this medical-grade injectable stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment Singapore

Regain youthful skin with Hybrid HA treatment. Aged and damaged skin having weaker self-regenerative capabilities leads to increase in wrinkling, loss of skin elasticity and dehydration. Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment reverses the signs of ageing by inducing collagen and hydrating skin from deep within. As an experienced clinician and expert injector, Dr Ng makes it his mission to deliver the best results to strengthen and restore your skin.

What are the benefits of Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

The Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment offers several benefits as a skin rejuvenation treatment:

  1. Deep Hydration: The bioremodelling injectable treatment contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains moisture in the skin, providing deep hydration. This helps to improve skin texture, suppleness, and overall hydration levels.

  2. Stimulates Collagen and Elastin Production: The bioremodelling injectable treatment stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. As collagen and elastin levels increase, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking.

  3. Natural-Looking Results: Unlike some other injectable treatments, the bioremodelling injectable treatment enhances the skin's natural beauty without adding volume or altering facial contours dramatically. The result is a subtle yet noticeable improvement in skin quality that looks natural and refreshed.

  4. Addresses Multiple Concerns: Bioremodelling injectable treatment can target various signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and loss of skin elasticity. It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, and other areas where skin quality has been compromised.

  5. Minimally Invasive: Bioremodelling injectable treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that involves a series of injections into the skin. There is minimal downtime associated with the procedure, and most people can resume their normal activities immediately afterward.

  6. Long-Lasting Results: While the bioremodelling injectable treatment doesn't provide permanent results, its effects can last for several months. Many people notice improvements in skin hydration, firmness, and texture for up to six to twelve months after treatment, depending on individual factors such as skin type and lifestyle.

  7. Versatility: Bioremodelling injectable treatment is suitable for a wide range of skin types and ages. It can be used as a standalone treatment or in combination with other cosmetic procedures to enhance overall results.

  8. Safe and Well-Tolerated: Bioremodelling injectable treatment is generally considered safe when administered by a qualified and experienced practitioner. Side effects are usually mild and temporary, including redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection sites. These typically resolve within a few days.

What is the technology behind the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

The Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment uses a patented NAHYCO technology hybrid process that combines high and Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) complexes in 3 phases. These processes result in a stable, long-lasting HA gel with a high concentration.

Phase 1: 32mg High molecular weight HA (1100-1400 KDa) is combined with 32mg Low molecular weight HA (80-110 KDa)

Phase 2: Through a thermal process, hydrogen bonds are broken which allow the chains of the high and low molecular weight HA to unite.

Phase 3: During the cooling process, a newly stabilised hybrid cooperative complex is formed. This stable and long-lasting HA can resists hyaluronidase (an enzyme that breaks down HA) for a longer duration. This treatment's hyaluronic acid molecules can remain in the skin for about 28 days.

What makes Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment unique?

There are noteworthy characteristics that make bioremodelling injectable treatment different from other HAs in the market. These include:

  • High concentration of hyaluronic acid (64mg/2mls).
  • Natural structure that is thermally stabilised.
  • Duration in skin is comparable to that of low cross-linked gel.
  • No BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl) or other chemical cross-linked agents added.

How does Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment work?

During bioremodelling injectable treatment, the HA is injected into specific areas of the skin. This allows optimal and homogenoues diffusion into the epidermal, dermal and subcutaneous compartments of the skin. The high cohesivity index of the HA during Hybrid HA Treament ensures that it is integrated well within skin tissues.

The low molecular weight HAs attracts water and hydrates the skin, providing the Hydro effect. On the other hand, the high molecular weight HA volumizes the skin by providing a stable dermal scaffold, the lifting effect. This hybrid HA therefore creates a Hydro-lifting action on the skin.

Once the HA is integrated within the skin, it promotes extracellular bioremodelling, stimulates 4 types of skin collagen (type I,III,IV and VII)  and elastin. The supportive role of the hybrid HA complex maintains viability of skin cells (e.g. keratinocytes in the epidermis, fibroblasts in the dermis and adipocytes in the fat layer) This increased elasticity and hydration of the skin layers creates a lifting effect.

Is the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment a Filler or Skinbooster?

The Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment is considered a bioremodelling therapy. This unique stabilised hybrid cooperative HA complex has different biological properties when compared to monotherapy with either high or low molecular weight HAs. The resistance to enzymatic degradation, slow release action and biocompatibility properties makes it different from the standard HAs in today's market. In addition, it cannot be considered a skin booster as it has a tightening/ lifting effect on skin tissues.

The slow release action of the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment provides hydration at the epidermal layer and enhances volume within the dermal architecture. There is an up-regulation of the 4 main types of collagen. There is an increased expression of type I and III collagen in fibroblasts and type IV and VII in keratinocytes. In addition, elastin and natural HAs within the skin are stimulated. This multimodal effect increases hydration, elasticity and lifting effect of the skin.

Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment Experience

  1. Consultation: Your first step would likely involve a consultation with your doctor. During this consultation, you can discuss your concerns, goals, and medical history to determine if the Bioremodelling is the right treatment for you.

  2. Preparation: On the day of your treatment, the area to be treated will be cleansed thoroughly. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort during the injections.

  3. Injection: The Bioremodelling Treatment is strategically injected into specific points of the face or other treatment areas using a fine needle. The injections are typically quick and relatively painless. Depending on your needs and goals, multiple injection points may be used.

  4. Post-treatment care: After the injections, you might experience some redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites. These side effects are usually mild and temporary, resolving within a few hours to a couple of days. Your are recommend to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun exposure, or certain skincare products immediately after treatment.

  5. Results: While you may notice some immediate improvement in skin hydration and texture, the full effects of the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment typically develops gradually over several weeks as the hyaluronic acid in the treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production in your skin.

  6. Maintenance: Bioremodelling Injectables are not a permanent treatment, so you may need maintenance sessions every six to twelve months to sustain the results. Your practitioner can advise you on the best schedule for follow-up treatments based on your individual response to the treatment and your aesthetic goals.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment

Who is a suitable candidate for the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment is suitable for individuals who want to improve skin hydration, firmness, and overall quality. It is suitable for a wide range of skin types and ages.

When can I see the results from the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

Results from the Bioremodelling Injectable treatment typically start to become noticeable after a few weeks as collagen and elastin production increases. Full results are usually seen after two treatment sessions spaced about a month apart.

How long can the results last?

Results from Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment can last for about six to twelve months, depending on individual factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the quality of the skin.

Can I do Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment with Lasers?

Lasers are commonly used to treat facial hyperpigmentation such as freckles, melasma and sun spots.

When combining laser treatments with Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment, we would do the laser procedure first, with a mandatory skin cooling thereafter, before your treatment. This ensures that excess heat produced by the laser does not compromise the product.

Can I combine the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment with Botunlinum Toxin Injections?

While Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment helps to rejuvenate the skin, it cannot address all your skin care issues. Botulinum injections are still most ideal for dynamic wrinkles affecting the forehead, frown lines and crow’s Feet.

We recommend doing the Botulinum toxin treatment first, then the Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment 2-4 weeks later so that the effects are stabilised.

Are there any contraindications to Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?:

Generally, you may not be a suitable candidate for Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment if you have one of the following:

  • Active skin infection
  • Active skin inflammation
  • Anti-coagulant medication
  • Pregnancy/ Breastfeeding
  • Recent filler injection
  • Active autoimmune disease
  • Allergy to hyaluronic acid fillers
Can I still do Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment after I had Fillers?

A consultation is necessary before any treatment. We would need to explore what type Filler injection you had, and when it was given.

Although Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment is biocompatible, BDDE-free and does not contain chemical cross-linked agents, we are of the opinion that there must be a gap of at least 4 weeks from your last filler treatment.

Can Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment be used for other Indications?

The current indication is for the lower two-thirds of the face and neck for skin rejuvenation.

There are case studies of doctors using Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment either as monotherapy or combination therapy for atrophic scars, facial acne scars and post surgical scars on the lower limbs. There are also preliminary reports of the treatment used as a complementary therapy for the management of atopic dermatitis. These results although encouraging are considered off-label for the moment.

Are there any side effects with Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment?

Pain and discomfort are minimal because we use numbing cream before your treatment.

After injection, a transient swelling at the Bio-Aesthetic-Points will fade within a day. Some individuals experience mild itchiness that is temporary. As with all injectable treatments, there may be bruising that can take up to 1-2 weeks to fade.

What is the cost of Bioremodelling Injectable Treatment in Singapore?

The average estimated cost of this treatment is from $1000-$1200 per session.
