What Is Rejuran S?
Rejuran S Acne Scars treatment in Singapore is a bio-stimulant that uses high viscosity long chain polynucleotide (PN) to restore and reconstruct skin scars. Based on patented DNA Optimization Technology (DOT), polynucleotide provides a structural scaffold to induce wound repair, enhance collagen synthesis and promote dermal remodelling.
OUR APPROACH TO ACNE SCARS
HOW DOES DR.NG TREAT ACNE SCARS?
Every single case of acne scar is unique and everyone is treated individually based on your acne scar morphology, scar type and your treatment goals. With a carefully planned patient-tailored combination approach, this will lead to more significant improvements in your acne scar appearance. Drawing upon the latest acne scar techniques coupled with his wealth of experience, Dr. Ng will help craft a personalised treatment plan for you to help repair your acne scars and restore your skin.
How is Rejuran S Different from Rejuran Healer?
Rejuran Healer has the active ingredient polynucleotide of medium viscosity. The primary purpose is for an overall improvement in skin elasticity, hydration and revitalisation. Rejuran Healer exerts it regenerative effects by stimulating more fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are important skin cells that have the ability to regenerate the building blocks of healthy skin; Collagen, Elastin and Glyscoaminoglycans. Rejuran Healer comes in 2mls syringe which is sufficient for a full face treatment.
Rejuran S Acne Scar treatment is more viscous (concentrated) compared to Rejuran Healer. It provides a structural support to enhance collagen remodelling and improved skin elasticity. After injection of the polynucleotide, collagen fibers are denser due to an increase in fibroblasts (cells that produce collagen). Rejuran S comes in a 1ml syringe. It is used to improve the appearance of acne scars and depressed scars following surgery and trauma. The best Rejuran S treatment is often used to assist the primary treatment, which for example could be, INFINI fractional resurfacing or subcision. Rejuran S acne scar treatment is an excellent complement to other acne scar treatment modalities.
Rejuran S (Scars)
Types Of Acne Scars
Atrophic acne scars are common occurrences amongst individuals suffering from acne. Most acne scar cases we see have a mixture of atrophic acne scarring pattern. Acne scar treatment takes into account the scar morphology, scar depth and your skin type.
Ice pick scars respond well to TCA CROSS and punch excisions. On the other hand, rolling scars treatment options include subcision and fractional resurfacing. Boxcar scars are amenable to TCA CROSS and fractional resurfacing.
Rejuran S Acne Scars treatment are a good complement to further improve the appearance of your acne scars.
Subcision and Rejuran S Acne Scars
Subcision is a surgical technique to release deeply tethered acne scars through a small wound entry. This can be achieved with either a hypodermic needle, a special Nokor needle or even a blunt cannula.
Before your treatment, Dr Moses Ng will discuss if you are a suitable candidate for this combination procedure. From experience, this is done for selected deep rolling scars to enhance wound healing, collagen remodeling and acne scar resurfacing.
After subcision is done, a small amount of Rejuran S is introduced via an intradermal approach to the base of the scar for support. This acts as a scaffold and sets the stage for the healing process to take place.
How is Rejuran S Acne Scars Procedure Done?
A clinical assessment to determine your acne scar type and skin condition is the first step. Your skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied to ensure you comfort during the procedure.
During your procedure, small amounts of Rejuran S are introduced at the base of the scar with a nano 30G needle. A small bleb or swelling is often seen right after the procedure but quickly subsides within a day or two.
A topical antibiotic is prescribed to prevent infections. Please avoid strenuous activities, alcohol and facials right after your treatment.
There may be mild transient redness, swelling and itchiness following the procedure. Needle marks will fade within 2-3 days. Bruising is minimal with Rejuran S acne scars treatment. You can resume normal activities in a few days and makeup can usually be used the next day.
The first 3 treatments are done at 4 weekly interval. Thereafter, Rejuran S acne scars or Rejuran Healer may be done every 6-9 months to improve the overall skin appearance.
Scars differ in their morphologic subtypes (rolling, boxcar, ice-pick), depth and maturity. We usually recommend treating deeper scars first before tackling more superficial scars. A consultation for assessment is necessary to identify the scar type and treatment options suitable.
By itself, Rejuran S will not improve deep rolling and ice pick scars. These are treated with subcision and TCA CROSS respectively. Rejuran S treatment is useful to assist the primary treatment method instead of being used as monotherapy for deeper scar types.
Yes. Rejuran S is useful to treat deep wrinkles in the peri-oral and Crow’s feet region.
Rejuran S is also able to rejuvenate the neck, Decollete and hands.
Rejuran S Acne Scars treatment is priced at $500 per 1ml syringe.
