Facial Redness Laser Surgery

The facial redness laser surgery program reduces redness and vascularity in many skin conditions.

Many skin conditions that look red in colour usually have a vascular component, that is supplied by blood vessels and blood. This is common in inflammatory conditions where the body tries to repair itself, and in doing so increases blood supply to the area.

Acne, red acne marks and rosacea are examples of such conditions.

How does it work?

The facial redness laser surgery program uses a Pulsed Dye Laser of specific 585nm wavelength. This targets the haemoglobin that is abundant in skin conditions associated with a prominent blood supply.

Haemoglobin is a iron containing protein that is found in red blood cells. Haemoglobin is what makes blood red in colour. By selectively targeting the haemoglobin with lasers to seal up the blood vessels, your skin condition will reduce in redness and improvement in appearance over time.

Skin Conditions Treatable

How many sessions do I need?

Every individual is different, and so is your skin type, skin condition, skin colour and response to treatment.

For mild cases, we recommend 5 treatment sessions. For more significant improvement, 5-10 facial redness laser surgery sessions are encouraged.

Treatments are spaced a few weeks apart to allow skin to heal and regenerate.

How long do I need to recover?

This is a excellent laser treatment for individuals who are looking for a treatment with almost no downtime.

The treatment itself is virtually painless and well-tolerated. You may experience a light snapping sensation on your skin.

The majority of individuals will have mild pinkish skin that fades away within a few hours. With repeated treatments, the redness of your skin will fade over time.

Skin protection after and between laser treatments is strongly encouraged to prevent pigmentation problems from appearing.
